FALL BOARD MEETING
CACT - NORTHERN SECTION
September 13, 2008
Members Present: Tom Farrell, Anne Farrell, Marsha Tarr, Ray
Chamberlain,
Tracy Ostrom and Tim Ostrom
The board gathered Saturday morning at the residence of Tim and Tracy
Ostrom. A grand tour of their newly acquired 1930’s home was a
must! The icon
was lit and our business meeting began.
I. Minutes from the previous meeting:
Minutes from the March 7, 2008 meeting were read. Members
graciously
overlooked punctuation boggles, much to this secretary’s relief and
the minutes
were passed (msp. Ray, Tom)
II. Old business
**Membership drive was tabled until Tanya can be present to discuss the
plans.
**The matter about the $3,000.00 in the state CACT account was also
tabled
due to Leigh’s absence from
the meeting. The question came up about having a co-signer be
added to that
state CACT account. Anne
will contact Leigh regarding this matter.
III. Website
Victor is interested in handing off the webmaster position to someone
else.
He did not take his annual stipend, because he felt he had not done
enough
work on the website.
We did notice that the conference photos are now presented in reverse
chronological order as we had requested Victor to do (i.e. the most recent
conferences at the top)
Tracy Ostrom said she would investigate what program Victor is using for
our
website and if it is like the program she uses (Frontpage), she would be
able to work on CACT’s web site.
Marsha agreed to send the Fall ’07 Conference pictures to Tracy and
Anne
said she’d talk to Linda B. about the pictures that were taken at the
Spring ’
08 Conference at Santa Clara University.
IV. Treasure’s Report:
Anne prepared the Treasurer's report and copies were passed out.
Our Spring conference in Santa Clara gained our treasury $85.00.
CACT did
not pay SCU for lunches, as many of the CACT attendees were students
and the
ACS was funding all student lunches.
The treasurer’s report was accepted (msp Marsha, Ray)
V. Mini-grants
There were no applications for minigrants. Sad to say, no word of
acknowledgement or thanks has been received from Redwood High
School regarding the
$500.00 grant we sent to them.
A summary of the Kathy Logan Mini-grant recipients to date:
