California Association of Chemistry Teachers – Northern Section Kathy Logan Memorial Mini-Grants CACT has funds available to award mini-grants of modest
size (less than $500). These funds are available to CACT members and can be used to purchase lab
equipment, chemicals or books for science labs when school funds for these
materials are unavailable. Minigrants are Ceres High School: $300 for balances for lab stations in Physical Science. Bret Harte Middle School: $300 for magnet wire and chemicals to be used in 8th grade Physical Science. McClymonds High School: $200 for basic glassware and supplies to outfit their basic science classes. Galileo Academy of Science and Technology: $200 for workbooks for their AP Chemistry class. Berkeley Alternative High School: $200 for balances for their Integrated Science Program. Northgate High School: $200 for balances for their Chemistry labs. Oakland High School: $200 for equipment for their AP Chemistry class, $300 for materials and equipment for special ed students and $400 for lab equipment Bret Harte Middle School $400 for Flynn Scientific kits and $500 for refractometers and pH meters. El Cerito High School: $400 for materials for an introductory chemistry class Sacramento Valley Technical High School: $300 for chemistry lab equipment Mandela High School: $475 for Flynn Chemistry kits Skyline High School: $250 for materials for dyeing lab Chabot Science and Space Center High School Teachers’ Workshop: $500 for biotechnology materials East Palo Alto High School: $500 for balances and locks If you are a CACT member and you are interested in applying for a mini-grant, print out the APPLICATION FORM on this website, fill it in and mail it to: Anne E.
